Optimal Care Measures Report
The Optimal Care Measures Report allows you to see the overall care provided to a patient. Use this report when you want to quickly compare hospitals at a summary level.
Reports by Clinical Topic
Reports on this list will display all of the data hospitals are reporting for the selected topic. Reports may include
summary, evidence-based process and outcome measures
, mortality, volume and utilization information. For instance, the Heart Attack Report shows all of the measures related to care for heart attack patients. These reports are useful if you’re looking for information on a specific medical condition or topic.
Hospital Detail Report
This report allows you to select a hospital and view the entire set of measures we have for that facility. The report includes location and other demographic information, medical services measures and surgical infection prevention measures. This report is useful when you want to see all the information we have for any given hospital.
Mortality Reports
These reports indicate hospitals' mortality experience for certain illnesses and procedures, compared to a reference population. These reports are useful when you want to find out if a hospital's experience is better, as expected, or worse with regard to mortality for a given illness or procedure.
Patient Experience of Care Survey
Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers & Systems (HCAHPS) surveyed patients about their hospital experience. Find out what patients had to say about the care they received during a recent stay.
Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs) in South Carolina
In 2006, state lawmakers passed the Hospital Infections Disclosure Act (HIDA).This law requires hospitals to report certain hospital acquired infection rates to the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and the public. Use these reports when you want to see individual and comparison data for information such as surgical site infections and central line associated bloodstream infections.
